Just being 8 years old, I declare myself atheist— if an 8-year-old kid can declared himself atheist. But I said, God how is it that you are able to allow all these bad things to happen? Life was so difficult that at 15-years-old I decided to commit suicide. It was just that desperate. But when I attempted suicide, God was so marvelous, was so beautiful, that He saved my life in a very miraculous way. Nothing happened to me.
So I was hopeless, but at that time I was in the same environment. But even though I was in the same environment, I made a promise to God. And that promise to God helped kept me alive. Because I said to God, okay, now I realize you have a purpose for me. I don’t know what it is, but you have a purpose for me, and I swear to you. I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to discover what you have for me. He has hope for so many others just like that.
