At the close of January 6’s Hope In The Night with June Hunt radio program, Jim Cress will sign off as co-host, as 20+ year radio veteran Rich Hooper joins the program.
Listeners know Jim from his friendly voice and caring approach to life issues on the program. In 1994 Jim began his long-time relationship with June and Hope For The Heart, and in 1996 he helped launch the live 2-hour call-in counseling program Hope In The Night.
Jim is an ordained minister and Licensed Professional Counselor. His departure from this late-night program will free Jim to expand his counseling practice and be more available for speaking engagements and on-site workshops.
“I am forever thankful to God for all the Hope In The Night listeners and wish you God’s peace and direction in the years ahead,” shares Jim. “As June says every night, I invite you all to, ‘Hang on to hope!’”
We will always consider Jim Cress a part of the Hope For The Heart family, and yet we are excited about Rich Hooper joining the team! Rich and his wife Tanya are Senior Pastors of Grace Community Church in Princeton, TX.
Be sure to tune in to Hope In The Night for Jim’s final program on your local radio station, or you can listen online beginning the following day at www.hopefortheheart.org/hope-in-the-night/.
