Sharing HOPE Around The World
Have you ever considered the power of a whisper? Like a candle in a darkened room, a whisper offering words of hope can reach into the deepest places of despair to offer light.
The International Team at Hope For The Heart works around the globe in much the same way. The need for a quiet presence is paramount in many of the areas where our partners serve amidst ever-increasing threats of harm. These places also have the greatest needs … yet even a whisper of hope can have a far-reaching impact.
Over time, we learned that women are most often the greatest change agents for their families and even for their communities. Wherever life struggles are found, no matter the culture, finding hope seems to begin in the hearts of women … those who dream of a different future for their sons and daughters. These courageous women must often overcome tremendous obstacles of abuse, poverty, and persecution – sometimes from their own families – to find truth for their help, healing, and hope.
Currently Hope For The Heart is working with our partners to serve women and their families in more than 60 countries around the world, yet there are far more countries where people are still alone … waiting … for even a whisper of hope. Some have never even heard the name of Jesus, and others have no knowledge of His saving grace or His power to create something beautiful out of a shattered life.
Therefore, I’d like to ask you, as one of our friends, to serve alongside me and Hope For The Heart’s International Team to provide relevant Scriptures and practical solutions so that courageous women around the world have the opportunity to find hope … even in the midst of their most painful trials. In many cases these women will never be allowed to attend a church or read a Bible – to do so would jeopardize their lives and the lives of their children. In these situations, wisdom from God’s Word communicated over the radio waves becomes spiritual food that nourishes a starving soul.
Even though this is 2012, women around the world are still being persecuted for their faith in Christ. Women in places like Albania, Turkey, and West Africa deal daily with issues of anger, abuse, and hopelessness. Here at Hope For The Heart, our International Team is diligently working to deliver truth “… to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18 NIV) through messages of biblical hope and practical help, using print and audio materials in Chinese, Portuguese, French, and other languages. We’re utilizing audio technology and solar power to bring the Word of God to places where the need is the greatest. And we’re making a difference!
Consider these words from the heart of a woman in South America:
I thank God for the ministry of restoration that He has given Hope For The Heart. I went through a divorce, and by God’s grace He has healed me. Now I am returning to ministry and I want to learn how to help other women who are going through similar situations and perhaps even prevent the same from happening in their lives.
We are seeing changed lives through our Biblical Counseling Library, our books, CDs, and other materials that are being used overseas, but we still need your help. Through your gift of $25, $50, $100, or more, you can help bring healing … and a whisper of hope to many women around the world.
Together, we can help these struggling women break out of their mental barriers and prepare for a better tomorrow – a tomorrow that is grounded in a spiritual assurance that can never be taken away.
Together, we can make a difference.
Yours in the Lord’s hope,
June Hunt
P.S. Please pray and ask God what He would have you do to be a whisper of hope in someone else’s life. Pray for hearts to be encouraged … for lives to be changed … and for God to magnify each whisper to fill the hearts of women and men around the world with hope.
