Anger & rebellion controlled my life

My life was riding motorcycles. My life was using motorcycles in the ministry. I became really, really rebellious. I was very angry at the doctors for telling me I couldn’t ride. I am involved in a motorcycle ministry called the Christian Motorcyclists Association. They were having a ride to go and pray for a friend of mine. They started a prayer circle for him. The next thing I remember,  there were hands laying on me and a lady’s voice saying, “Lord, please don’t let him die.” The paramedics evaluated me and said that I went into cardiac arrest and had actually died. My life was riding motorcycles. My life was using motorcycles in the ministry. I became really, really rebellious. I was very angry at the doctors for telling me I couldn’t ride. The members of my motorcycle chapter came over. They prayed for me for a long time, and as they prayed, I felt that anger and that rebellion leave me. One of the rides I like doing every year is the Hope For The Heart Ride for Life. And I said “I’m going to ride in that ride,” and before long I was ready for the ride. They gave me a watch inscribed with the Scripture Jeremiah 29:11. Anytime I feel hopeless, I wear that watch. It just reminds me that God always has hope for the future for you if you just have faith.
